Review Notes

What App Review should know

  • The Wi-Fi radar uses CoreWLAN and requires Location Services so macOS will reveal nearby SSIDs and BSSIDs.
  • The Bluetooth radar discovers nearby Bluetooth Low Energy devices and may prompt for Bluetooth access.
  • Bluetooth results show devices that are actively advertising nearby.
  • The app does not require sign-in, does not upload results, and does not include analytics or advertising SDKs.

Privacy

Recommended privacy answers

  • Data collected from the app: No
  • Tracking: No
  • Why location permission is requested: Wi-Fi scanning on macOS requires it for nearby SSIDs and BSSIDs.
  • Why Bluetooth permission is requested: the Bluetooth radar needs it to discover nearby BLE devices on Mac.
  • Why no data collected is accurate: scans, sweeps, logs, and cached snapshots stay on the Mac unless the user explicitly copies data to the pasteboard.
